I've never been a gambler myself, I don't really see the fun in it. Mostly because if/when I DO gamble I never win. I'll stick to games of skill.

The odd time it can be fun. Haven't done it too often myself or for over a decade but you can stretch out 10-20 bucks on quarter slots let's say (do they even have those anymore???) for about the same price of going to the movies. It can be fun as long as you don't..like blow you're rent/get taken away with it. Treat it as any night (financially) going out and your good.

A dude at work has a serious gambling issue. He almost plays a scratch off daily, goes to the casinos, and so many other things. Our boss is his babymomma's older brother. It's starting to get overly noticable this dude is addicted to gambling, but he is sitting at a very rough net positive.

I have got money back and extra a few times but gambling just doesn't do anything for me.
Did play cards a fair bit when I was doing shift work years ago just because everybody else was doing it, there was nothing else to do but read the newspaper back then. No money was involved.
