I wouldn't say broken. He still lost to Litchi and Hazama, but his tools did make the matchups easier (both of them are susceptible to getting hit by voids). My biggest problem is that for no real reason, they changed the way his combos work as well as changing a core movement in his toolset. Renka went from 214B to 236B for no reason. Also, because of changes to the system, his j.2A loops went away which was basically the entirety of his offense lol. Like, no matter what you were doing, your whole goal with Hakumen was to get into that combo (starter launch j.2A airdash j.2A j.2A Hotaru j.2A finisher).
