I think chlorine and iodine are commonly used. Fluoride is there too, but afaik that doesn't affect taste.

There's a lot of minerals in water, some from the pipes it comes through, others put in there such as Fluoride because at certain concentrations it is good for your teeth.

Water without any ions tastes odd, I had some.
