It's a good idea but no Uncharted. I would guess plenty of stuff isn't compatible, there's an official list if you wanna check.

Official list is LOL. There is a nice user compiled list that's way more up-to-date and accurate. But, I have a Vita. So anything old I can just play on it. I am just camping if on old firmware in the hopes of CFW.

I have read there is different compatibility for different regions. But after seeing Uncharted was listed as a big no I kinda lost interest.
Killzone Merc apparently works but without full library compatibility I just don't see the point. All the old stuff (pre-Vita) can be played on PS3 anyway, and for arguments sake: that system can be modded.

Yes, you would be correct about that. Kinda silly. Ys MoC for instance is compatible in Japan but not the US.
