Now let's sort that by Km^2 or some other statistic. China and US are probably competing in terms of amounts of amounts of flights per day compared to smaller countries where you can drive 4 hours to get to either border.

Russia's population is approx half of the US and their stats are about half, that seems to make sense until you think about the bad reputation Russian aircraft have always had.

Australia has about 23 million people, while Canada has about 35 million. Both countries are a decent size but look at the vast difference in fatal accidents.
Canada can access some other countries without using air or sea but Australia can't do that at all. I guess Canada's high numbers must be due to poor weather conditions.

Indonesia and India are in the top 5 or so largest populations in the world.

But really, the whole point is that Asian countries aren't as bad as the media is painting them atm. The media was like that about Russian made aircraft for years.
What has happened in recent times is just something really odd and highly unusual.

    Spoiler warning:

Sadly, Minnesota does not have enough snow for anybody to get stuck. Our ground was almost completely bare for Christmas.

    Be afraid. Be very afraid.

I'm burning up here in Ohio, but that might be because I'm getting sick.

Brought a 99-cent Sega genesis back to life with a new 23 cent 7805 regulator. Now time for some mods.
