Well I mean, why can't freedom mean you can do whatever you want?

Because the idea of one person's freedom may inhibit someone else's idea of freedom. Such as ISIS, they are a radical islamic group. Therefore beheading Christians, and mutilating women and the like. So I think that their "freedom" to behead anyone who doesn't believe in Allah kind of would detract from someone else's freedom to worship whoever the heck they want.

Is this a concept that you can't grasp? Because if I had a bit more freedom around here I'd be tempted to push that ban button.

I mean, if take the word freedom literally it would mean being able to do whatever you wanted to do. Sure it's horrible to brutally murder someone for their beliefs however we ruin peoples lives for choosing to consume certain substances. I don't really like the word "freedom" due to the fact you can never have a real free society without horrible things happening.

That is the price of freedom though unfortunately. There will always be those whose idea of freedom is to hurt others. The only way this will ever stop is when all humans cease to exist. Then the world will truly know freedom.
