Got a free 720p LCD tv, works fine and has a decent amount of inputs but no remote replacement remote is like $60. Yeah fuck that.

lol no they don't. Some cover like 200k manufacture models but there isn't a cheap generic remote that covers everything via codes.
It would be possible to use a learning remote for this unit, but you need the original remote as a source to learn the functions.

There is one generic replacement for this particular tv remote available in the UK for about a quarter of the cost of the genuine one, but it's only listed on amazon and I'm not even sure they would ship here (also shipping might add to the cost).

I've already tried 2 different generic all-in-one remotes and about 30 codes for this particular brand of tv. None work and after a google I suspect a code for it may not exist.
So it's either the genuine or possibly that generic "Superior" brand replacement. Anything else (like cheap Chinese universal remotes that work via codes) would be a gamble and I doubt I'd get lucky.

I kinda need some decent pocket money and i'm willing to sell my Mint CIB Cobalt Black DS Lite thats only been used a few times when I played multiplayer with family, that and a brand new Supercard DSOne i (flashcards dont have any kind of seal/factory wrap on them) its a spare in case mine ever crapped out on me and nope, real good cards , last for years and years hell I even dropped mine on a hard tile floor and its still working like new
