So I've decided against getting a condo when I move out and I'm just going to settle for a 1 bedroom apartment that is like ~$500/month. $600 if the location is ideal.

I was paying about 525 for my studio apartment at Uni before shacking up with the fiancee. Shit location. I don't see a use in getting anything bigger or better unless you had a family and kids. paying for space is overrated. just go out if you're feeling claustrophobic.

Actually condos are fairly cheap where I live, I'm just too afraid of surprise fees and HOO(I think?[Home Owners Organization) fees than anything. Not to mention a small apartment would be much better than a 2 bed 2 bath 1 car garge condo for like 20k on a 15 year mortage and then have those surprise fees. An apartment is more guarnteed to cost X a month no matter what from my understanding.

I just don't see myself using all that space either in all honesty. I mean, that's a lot of space for someone who would have no visitors anyways.

Pretty much how I'm feeling at this point. Looking into 1bed/studios right now and the space doesn't even seem that bad by my standards of keeping myself in a small bedroom for 3 years.

Need space for stuff though. I have a shed big enough for 3 cars + a work area and I only have 1 car in it atm.
3 bedroom house but only one room actually used as a bedroom

Got a free 720p LCD tv, works fine and has a decent amount of inputs but no remote replacement remote is like $60. Yeah fuck that.
