    Thanks for the information, Gare. I'll definitely be going through the Genki books in time. No question. Also, I bookmarked the book you linked.

    This WaniKani thing I'm doing is pretty cool, too. It and Textfugu have an emphasis on radicals and learning to read and type as opposed to writing by hand, which makes sense for me since I don't even have a pen on my work or home desks.

    That said, I kinda do intend to eventually learn to write in Japanese as well.
