It depends. I think we play different games based on what we need. I play puzzle and rpgs to work out my mind a bit. Fighting games to relieve stress and frustration. Rpgs also for the story and character.old games for nostalgia. (of course)
To me it's kinda like asking why I'm walking on two legs. I've been gaming since I was 5 and it feels like the most natural thing in the world to do. Er, if that makes sense. But I won't deny that nowadays I do it to escape from reality. So good to just enter your own personal bubble and shut everything else off.
i play games since 6 old years old and i love games very much,i spent the most of my time playing
Since i was 3 my father got me into gaming by buying me a SNES. Ever since then its just been a part of me that I can't let go you know. Like there's two halves of your body, left and right. Without both its hard to get around but not impossible, same thing here were if they weren't around it'd be hard to enjoy life but not impossible.
Layin down enjoying the fun unleashing the power of the sun and capturing them all until I'm done.
There's no one answer to this. If it's a fighting game, it's for the adrenaline of competing against another player on- or offline. If it's an RPG then I want an engrossing story experience with likable characters. If it's Dark Souls, it's the challenge and the atmosphere, with many action games it's just the power-fantasy/badassery, and so on... There are dozens of reasons to play and enjoy games.
Boredom.
To relieve my stress and to gain inspiration.
Escape and it reminds me of the fun days as a kid playing. That's why I like the retro gaming, it gets no better.
