How old is your imac,Cosmic?
Had it for about four years now. It was the lowest spec model at the time but it's a lovely computer and I still use it for pretty much everything. I've noticed Logic is making it chug a bit though, and the PC is a lot heftier so it'll be interesting to see how it runs on there.
My laptop is three years old, it worked well til a virus hit it. I plan to get it fixed soon. How is your music training going?

I think that my laptop is beyond that. It won't play sound or go on the internet.

Dr Web Live CD is based on linux, it does not use anything installed on the hard drive, just connect it directly to the internet and it will update the database and just start to scan, that should help you, all it takes is a blank CD
