tomb raider 1 rom

when I try to run tomb raider the first 1 for ps1 it loads up I press new game I go into the game and then it just freezes is there a problem with the rom or somthing else?

I suspect you are trying to emulate the game but, since you gave us too little info, read the pinned threads and post again.

this is not a double post I got asked to make new one because I had not enough infomation about the problem I had I will first tell you what computer I am using

cpu: AMD FX(tm)- 4100 Quad-core processor 3.60 GHz

graphics card: GeForce GT 640

ram: Corsair CML16GX3M2A1600C10 Vengeance Low Profile 16GB (2x8GB) DDR3 1600 Mhz CL10 XMP Performance Desktop Memory Kit Black

Operating system: windows 7

and now I will tell you about the emulator

emlator virsion: 1.13

plugins: I think this one has a built in one so I don't know were to find it if you know how please tell me

no I have not used any other emulator so I will try that but if it does not work then I will come back to this

yea I did but it still froze and stuff I might not have had the right bios or plugins but I don't know were to get them from if you know tell me please and psxfin is still alright for other games just not this one

According to compatibility list, if the game freeze, then it likely to be a bad rip. Though I can't confirm it myself since I haven't tested it.

ok sorry if this is a doubble post but the link for the game MEGANOVA does not work the emulators terry got me are good I just need the tomb raider 1 rom but most are rip so idk were I am gunna find one what does not crash when you start the game :/

well as soon as I start up its fine and I can scroll about in the main menu but as soon as I try to start the main game it just goes black and frezees so idk if its the rom or its somthing else idk

It's not the copy of the game you have, the ISO is most likely fine. You have to mount the image file into a virtual DVD drive (like the one created with Daemon Tools) and run it through it in order to bypass the title screen.

We have many threads on this, it's a common problem. Always try to use the search feature before asking for help.

ok I don't use daemon tools but I still have a diffrent virtual drive thanks cookie monster and btw my friend likes cookies

ok same problem i mounted the image file into Winarchiver virtual drive and when I try to run it still goes black I am still having the same problem
