I think my most recent was Sonic 3 & Knuckles.
I don't remember the last time I logged on soooooo I'll just go with stuff in the last few months or so. Some of these were subsequent playthroughs of games I hadn't played in a long time.
Yakuza 3
Popful Mail
Vay
Lunar 1-2 SCD vers
Dragon Force
Albert Odyssey
Magic Knight Rayearth
Dragon Warrior 7
Atelier Rorona
I'm probably forgetting some.
Uncharted 3, good game, the ending was probably the best bit of the game, that scene with Sully, overall I think the series is overrated though.
I personally think Uncharted 2 is one of the highlights of the 360/PS3 generation. Easily one of the best games on either platform.
The series as a whole, though, gets a lot more hype than it truly deserves. I had fun with all three games, but U2 is the only one that stands out to me as a game that everyone should play at least once.
I'll agree with you on that - I love UC1 because at the time there was literally nothing else out on the PS3 that was really worth playing, but UC2 raised the bar ten-fold and IMO has only been matched by Last of Us. UC3 was pretty weak compared to the previous games, but that isn't to say it's bad, it just felt disjointed and more like a cash-in sequel than something we really deserved.
I finished Tales of Xillia a second time (with the female charcter on NG+), and I think I've thrown in the towel on Lightning Returns. I've sacked about 30 hours in this game, beaten 4 of the 5 main quests (I've had issues with the fifth, which is Caius from FF13-2, and he's totally the cheapest boss EVER), and I feel the game has run it's course. It's not that good, the story sucks (I've actually been skipping most of the story sequences), and the stupid fetch quests are something that belongs in a lousy MMO and not a game that's based around the last week of the world's existence.
I don't know what Squeenix is up to these days, but this game is not Final Fantasy, and it's blasphemous that this game even carries the name.![]()
Professor Layton and the Curious Village-I really enjoy puzzle games and this one didn't disappoint.(love mysteries too.)Enjoyed the ending, looking forward to sequel.
You know my thoughts about the 2nd game. Man...remember that time when I was trying to be all2 kool 4 skool/unwashed unclean heathen and hating on Uncharted?
I mean you are playing an action movie basically. So to me they are solid games but not like goat stuff.
I played through all three again at some point in the last few months for no real reason (wanted some quick games after some long rpgs tbh). As for the third game I have a few issues with it. There were some annoying/unnecessary sequences, the final fight SUCKED and NO SHOE-HORNED NAZIS (and it's still a top 25 Ps3 game really). The first is probably the worst in terms of gameplay but it's still mostly fine.
Is it worse than XIII-2? That would be a feat.
Hmmm, debatable.... but I'm almost leaning towards a "yes". LR feels like someone played entirely too much Majora's Mask and decided to fashion a FF game around the concept of the end of the world, although they forgot to put in a spell/trick/song that allows you to reset back to day one and start it all over. All you seem to do in LR is run around racing against the clock and doing absolutely pointless side quests to get upgrades. There's no XP in the game, so the only way to improve your character is to do lame quests to get Str, Agil, etc upgrades. To say it's pretty lame is an understatement, oh, and if you thought the story was a mess in 13-2, then you'll really enjoy this one. It's all over the place, makes little to no sense, and is downright annoying. I got to the point where when a cutscene would start I would just skip it so I could get back to running around since it was all pointless exposition anyway
SO yeah, is it worse? You can be the judge of that. What I can say is unless you are a huge fan of Lightning (which I'm not), is that it isn't worth more than $10
And to get back on topic, a buddy of mine came over last night and we played Remember Me (PS3) from start to finish. It was free on PS+ and we figured why not give it a shot:
It's actually not too bad - I thought it was going to be a 3rd person shooter, but it's actually a brawler, which is nice. The controls are a bit stiff and it gets repetitive, but the story was engaging enough to keep us entertained, and the setting and graphics were actually quite nice. For the price of admission on this game, it was worth a play![]()
Thief on X360. If you like it stealthy, go for it. Not quite my genre, so I can't praise it.
No Limit.
Beaten Ni no Kuni's main story yesterday, now onwards to![]()
Finished RE4 last week for the first time... lol after about 15 attempts over the years I finally stuck with it... glad I did.
Not that it was uninteresting, I just always started it right before a new game was being released I wanted to try lol
