Sorry to hear that dude. Yeah sometimes it may not be worth it...unless you're really attached to something and have alternative transport while taking your time to fix the problem over several weeks.

Old rear wheel drive vehicles where you just have to remove the sump to get into the oil pump aren't so bad, at most you may have to partially remove the engine but sometimes you can just undo the engine mounts and raise them until the gearbox is right up against the tunnel. Then you have enough clearance to remove the sump past the front cross-member.

I had a Chevy Barretta that I had to put an oil pump in back in the day. All I had to do was drop the pan and swap the pump. Took me like 2 hours. I guess those were the days.

Yeah man. With old cars you pop the bonnet (or hood in your case) and there are hueg open spaces everywhere. You don't have to remove a billion cables and pipes to get at stuff.

Actually, I read something about US states re-introducing old death penalty methods. Because the EU countries that make/supply the drugs will either be stopping soon, or just refuse to supply the US because of what it is used for.
