I wish I wasn't trying to juggle a Facebook conversation, a Skype conversation and this conversation.
I can only say so many words before I get extremely boring folks, I mean for god's sake, start a topic about jewels or something.

At least it wasn't a blowout. Your team (no matter how much they sucked, played like gentlemen )
They played much better than us for the vast majority of the game. They deserved the win. We failed to capitalize on SIX MOTHERFUCKING POWERPLAYS. That is unacceptable.

But hey, at least we didn't punch a guy in the face while he was down, or knee anyone in the back of the head, so we're still doing better than the BOS/PIT game.

All's fair game until somebody's neck is under an ice skate.

Funny you should say that. Clint Malarchuk, one of the assistant coaches for the Calgary Flames (the team we lost to tonight), took a skate to the neck back in '89 when he was a goaltender for the Buffalo Sabres. It severed his jugular vein. Fucking gruesome -- I will never watch that video again. How he lived is beyond me.

Just looked it up to confirm, and he's the Flames' goaltending coach, not assistant coach. Still, close enough.
