That's right, forgot that you going back to NL. So it makes sense that you'd put in your notice. That's good that you had a good experience with the kids. Are you looking to get another job in the child-care field when you get up to Canada?
I'm a prep cook. Luckily it's not all just chopping vegetables, or else it would be pretty boring. We make everything from scratch. So I make all our salad dressings and sauces and the like. It's actually pretty fun. I used to be a dishwasher, but moved up a couple years ago. I've learned quite a bit about cooking in that short amount of time though. Which I've attempted to apply at home when I get the chance.

Yeah, I would really like one like this if I can get any. Problem is, I wasn't able to complete my training with this job and get the certification. But I'm sure I can do that again if I really put myself out there and say I have some experience or something. So I'm hoping!
I am actually really interested in getting a degree in childhood development but have to finish my two-year illustration degree first I think. I've only taken one drawing class haha. But it was so much fun. I'm signed up for some online electives in January, so that should go well.
Ooooh! You're so cool! That really sounds fun. <3
Yeah, it is really cool!! They could use a lot more people in this field from what I here. I help with homework a lot, but aside from that all you do is just play games with a bunch of kids.
I do a lot of arts and crafts with them and they LOVE it. Like we play this game where I draw a shape, and they have to decide what it should be. They want to do it everyday haha. And we do the rainbow loom allll the time good god they are obsessed with band bracelets. I can make all of them on my fingers now. bahaha
Well hopefully you can get connected with some similar work when you get up there. So you can get your certification. I'll cross my fingers for you!
An illustration degree huh? What are you ultimately planning on doing with it once you're finished? I used to love to draw. Only recently have I gotten back into it. I always thought I should go back to school for something art-centric. Though I think that I lack the motivation to be successful in school currently. Plus right now I might have a start-up going on with the sous chef at my work. He really wants to start doing tattoos. Which is something I've been interested in for a while. It's still only in the talking phase. But hopefully we might be starting to acquire some equipment here soon. We'll see though.
It definitely can be fun sometimes. Especially when I get to work the fancy 5 course wine dinners that we host sometimes. Most of the time though it's a lot of the same stuff day-to-day. Though we tend to change our menu seasonally. So at least there's some variety. Plus being in the position I'm in I can avoid being on the line. So I don't have to deal with customers/servers directly, so that saves me a large degree of hassle.
