Yeah, that makes sense. I suppose it was a random "just for the sake of it" recommendation on my part. And I thought you had a decent-ish gaming rig but I might've been thinking of someone else.

I could never get used to playing AC games with a gamepad. I play lots of games with a gamepad (Dark Souls, DMC, Resident Evil, etc.) and I tried it with AC as well but I feel like I have more freedom with mouselook in this particular game. Makes parkouring easier for me.

I'm sure if you saw my framerates/resolutions you'd vomit in rage.

Throw in a bit of poor optimization and you can get some hilarious problems up in there.

Not like the parkour is that intensive really. Then again platformers always worked best with a pad for me.

It's intensive when I do it! But yeah I realize it's just me. I do very quick and sharp turns with the camera in AC games during parkour and chase scenes and the like.

I hate myself for being so obsessed with framerates, I mean it's really getting out of hand. With my old GPU I used to get like 40 fps in Darksiders 2 which is still 10 more than on consoles, and I'm all "look at this disgusting shit, what is this".

I played through Tomb Raider happily with a steady 22 FPS. Sleeping Dogs also for that matter.

As soon as I can scrape up $100 I'm going to buy this.

It will run just about anything smoothly, just not with TEHSUPAHULTRAGFX.
