NFL street 2 is running very slowly and with major graphical effects.
Hello all I am new to emulation and especially using and optimizing how ISOS run so I was curious if anyone had any advice on how I could I prove the performance of the NFL street 2 Iso? The Iso runs well enough just before the actual game begins, during FMV sequences, and during menus. ( works at normal speed when game play is paused ) but once the game starts it chugs at something like 30 fps and for a fast paced game like that it does make it a bit difficult to enjoy fully.
It also has severe graphical issues with the players being a rainbow of colors that sometimes manage to render the player accurately but generally are constantly causing mis- colored areas everywhere.
So my question was what could I do to make my PCSX2 emulator run the game even a bit better. I don't mind the graphical issues themselves. If it runs. Fast with the issues I'd be happy but if they are linked I assume I must fix them.
It did adjust the emotion engine cycle rate value to 2 versus the default value of 1 and that seemed to improve performance slightly but raising it further just slowed it down.
Also disabling speed hacks slowed the game down to a crawl. This issue seems to Carry across all NFL street game ISOS as well. There was a comment for an NFL street ISOS that had similar issues.
Sorry for the long winded post, I just wanted to let you all know I did try to tweak settings but since I really don't know what Ian doing its like pushing an unmarked button and hoping its the magic "fix everything button" any and all help is appreciated!

Well I can't help with all of your problems, but one thing you can try for a speedup is enabling the MTVU speedhack. It can help, if your cpu has more than 2 cores. You should also post your system specs, and emulator version and settings, so that people will better be able to help you.
