I love Kevin Smith -- he's an awesome storyteller in his Q&As and on his podcasts and whatnot -- but his movies rarely do anything for me. I liked Dogma, Red State and the first Clerks. And maybe another one that I've since forgotten was a Kevin Smith movie. That's about it.

Vulgar was really good. Though it's of course nothing at all like any of his other movies. The first Clerks movie is probably the only one of his comedies that I'd still be willing to watch again. When Clerks 2 came out I was kinda excited because the first one was really funny. I was greeted with utter disappointment when I finally saw it.

...and don't even get me started with the absolute shit that was the Clerks cartoon.
