Do you have a virus scanner
If so you can try booting into safe mode by holding f8 as the computer comes on and run your virus scanner from safe mode

I would suggest running malwarebytes as well.

but first go to control panel hardware and sound device manager and check to see that you still have all your drivers and that they are working correctly
an exclamation point should pop up next to devices with missing or problem drivers.

My comp is old and it can handle every thing up to epsxe but still I'm sure your parents realize if they think about it that you wouldn't do anything like that without
their permission
