i'm sorry. I don't follow new game too much,and I'm not fond of Square-Enix.
Exactly why I said I was leery back in the day both company's put out awesome rpgs,
but since the merger I think every thing released has been sub-par at best.

I agree. I pretend that the franchise ended at 9.
My maxed out character is a commando. When I first went through the campaign, I was doing it all solo, thus I chose the assassin because he is really built for going solo through stuff. When I started a commando later on with a friend, it was so much stronger IMO. What skill tree are you investing in first? Guerrilla (left), Gunpowder (middle) or Survival (right)?
I initially started down gunpowder but it is actually a very weak tree in my experience, so I switched into Guerrilla, which is by far the strongest. Once you get the rockets onto your turret, they get a huge power spike. Then when you hit level 31 I believe it is, might be 32, when you can reach the bottom of a tree, getting slag bullets and a second rocket pod on the turret is ridiculously strong. Not to mention if you get at least one of the level expansions and can then reach the bottom of two trees, Guerrilla + Survival is just godlike. Two turrets with slag bullets and rockets can wreck things.
You are right about not getting any good guns, most of the stuff you get on your initial playthrough is complete garbage. To get anything worth anything, you either have to farm your ass off for it (which is not worth it at such a low level) or wait until you get into True Vault Hunter or Ultimate. In those, especially Ultimate, you get to cry yourself to sleep as you empty clip after clip into people and watch as their health bars move inch by inch. At my level, the enemies are so ridiculous that they regenerate health faster than any elemental damage you inflict. Not to mention when I'm critical hitting for 8+ million damage per bullet on SMGs, and it still takes 10 clips to kill one guy. Talk about having fun.
You play this on 360 if I remember right? I could run you through things if you have any trouble.
Tend to do the same but 10 was a so-so game after 10 though it got stupid starting with 10-2
ten had a decent story and combat system but I didn't like they removed exploration completely from the game
if I wanted to play a game that held my hand all the way through I would not have purchased an RPG.

THE BEST METHOD to run PSX games (and everything else for that matter) is via Retroarch - http://buildbot.libretro.com/nightly/

No problem. I'm thinking about getting it for PS4, since I don't have a PS3 and my computer would go up in flames trying to run the PC version. Depends on how much stuff I have to play between now and launch day. Pokemon, BF4, Watch Dogs, could probably keep me busy for awhile.
Don't mind me, just dropped by real quick before I head out to run some errands.
Yeah, I know.
