The combat isn't what interests me about Forgotten Sands, it's mostly the free-running aspect. Prince of Persia games have been really lackluster lately.
I liked Two Thrones. It's kind of a "best of both worlds" sort of game. Kept the combat of Warrior Within with improvements, but mostly went back to the more exotic landscapes of the first game.

It's pretty bad. I'm wondering when the prince started carrying a ton of stones in his pockets. TT however is pretty great. They stopped caring about the fact that they couldn't really do a combat system properly and just decided to make 90% of the fights skippable through some stealthy bits. There's a few stupid choices here or there but it's probably the least wonky of the SoT games. Which isn't saying a lot, but still...
