Continuing to watch Shingeki no Kyojin (which impressed me for the first time in a while with its latest episode), rewatching Planetes, and picked up Hataraku Maousama and Kamisama Hajimemashita, both on recommendations from friends. Trying to get as much exposure to Japanese as I can despite being away from the country, so I thought I'd spend more of my free time watching TV drama, movies and anime in the language. I'm not so knowledgeable about anime these days, especially recent stuff, so if anyone has any recommendations, please fire away~!

For pure challenge? Watch Kyoukaisenjou no Horizon without subs. Because tongue twisters ahoy! (first minute is the relevant bit)

Ok, actual non-joke recommendation (I personally like Horizon because Fukuyama Jun is dreamy in it, but I highly doubt it's your cup of tea): Tamayura and all its sequels. It's from the same guy that directed the Aria anime. I only watched a few OVA episodes but it seemed decent.

Why do I get the impression that there's something you're not telling me?

But no, I haven't seen it. Confused it with this one at first, which I read lots of this year. Was cute. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tonari_no_Seki-kun

Recently watched Yahari ore no seishun love com wa machigatteiru or Oregairu for short. Thoroughly enjoyed the series and as the title states, it is by no means a cookie cutter RomCom harem show but focuses more on character development and psychological issues. Especially the protagonist Hachiman Hikigaya's monologues are great and easy to relate to.

I did not finish that one yet too so... I think I will "follow your lead" and start where I left.

Finished OreImo's first season and enjoyed it. Now watching the second season... and find it a bit disappointing because the formerly engaging plot about otaku culture and repairing a broken sibling relationship slowly begins to turn into an average love comedy with some melodramatic confessions and rejections. It also feel a bit rushed IMO. Only 2 more epsodes to go...

    Mouryou no Hako.

Honestly I would say this has the makings of a pretty amazing mystery series. It's kept me wondering constantly throughout my viewing of how it's going to end up, with some hints leading to being ends as it would appear. Pretty solid series so far from early judgments.
