Beat Saints Row the Third with a buddy - fun game, but pretty underwhelming ending
Looks like I'll have to grab SR4 at some point now

Extreme difficulty actually isn't that hard, provided you stay focused and plan a tiny bit. I finished the game with 7 extra lives. I only died twice. Otherwise, everything else is simple.
Back to more Saints Row 3 after I put kiddo to bed.

I beat Dragon's Crown on Hard last night and opened up Infernal. I've completed all the Adventurer's Guild Quests that are available to me, so now I guess I just have to slog through this last difficulty
I was totally thinking to myself "I bet I could platinum this game", then I saw that I need to beat it 5 more times (each character class) and said "fuck that". That's at least 10+ hours per character - no thanks

Beat Shin megami 4, a couple of days ago. Now to do it another 3 times.
I got the Platinum in The Last Of Us this morning, but was underwhelmed by the whole multiplayer - hope the DLC can pull something special out of the bag.
Now off for a change of pace - try to get through Ratchet and Clank - All 4 One, the only one I couldn't finish in one sitting

I thoroughly enjoyed it. Mainly from an "unrealistic things are happening, so we're going to play everything over the top." GTA style games usually annoy me, because they try and be somewhat serious while allowing you to essentially destroy an entire city, which kinds of creates a dichotomy of what the story is telling me is happening and what the gameplay is telling me is happening. SR3 has everything over the top -- the missions are silly, the story is silly, and the characters are silly. Everything is on the same playing field, which is nice.
To each their own.I hate a lot of games that everyone else seem to adore.
