Gotta love Grant Kirkhope. His soundtracks are awesome and he always seems like such a humble guy. Between his Game Grumps episode and the Conker team's dev commentary I really wish some of the old Rare guys would get together and write a book ala Masters of Doom.

How does it control compare to NSMB? My biggest issue with the game was the controls were too slippery and slow. I didn't like 'em.

I became popular with girls when I started being one. The solution is clear! It's a small sacrifice to make fo- Well okay, if you actually like being a guy, it's a pretty big sacrifice.

In all seriousness, I feel like close female / female friendships often feel only about one or two steps away from a relationship. Many of my friends and I will hug, kiss, hold hands, go everywhere together, go on "dates" with each other, tell each other absolutely everything, buy each other little presents for no reason at all... Maybe guys have that too, and I was just never quite able to let my guard down around guys enough to develop it, or maybe other girls don't have that and I'm just lucky, but either way, it's new to me, and I like it~

It's not like my penis is being put to much use lately anyways.

Some guys are more physical than others. Western culture doesn't have "hug, kiss and hold hands" like Asian culture does, but a lot of guys are very much into handshakes/physical touching like pats on the back, grabbing shoulders, "rough-housing," etc. Those of us on this site provide a fairly narrow view of what a typical guy does.

As for the other people who haven't addressed the "date" thing... we do, we just don't really call 'em "dates." Going to a movie, going to the bar, grabbing some food, etc... these would all be considered "dates" if they were with a girl (who we aren't friends with), but they're just "hanging out" with your guy friends.

Different labels for similar things, because guys be all tough like that. I'm sure there are some guys who do similar things (gifting games on Steam when something is on sale, for example), and there are some girls who don't get that experience just because they're not "that kind of friend." I think a large part of your experience is that you've opened yourself up to good, thoughtful people. Doesn't really matter about gender beyond that point.

Yeah I think with most male/male friendships it doesn't get as physical. I never went too much for physical contact. Hell, with one of my friends we pretty much evolved beyond the need for conversation when we didn't feel like it.

I know a lot of people (the "bro" community, mostly), who are physical in the "pat on the back, grab your shoulders, rough-house" kind of way. It's not the same comparison as two girls holding hands or hugging, but it's similar.

I've also noticed with some of the Asian exchange students around here that some of the guys will walk around holding hands. I think that one is more of a cultural difference than a gender difference.

I don't think the controls are any different than NSMB. I didn't mind the original's controls actually. I guess I just got used to them. For this one, it's worth it to give it another try though.
