That's ages! :'D Okay, so it's just that I'm super-busy here and it feels like ages, but...

I've been offered lots of jobs here, but taking them without a degree is risky. If they go well it's fine, but if they go badly and I get fired quickly, I could wind up without a degree and without enough experience to find another job. It's better for me to go home and graduate first. Though it's encouraging that I've been offered jobs here already. It probably means I'll have no trouble staying here once I graduate.

Haha, yeah, in that respect I suppose I have. :'D I still make lots of mistakes in Japanese, but I can basically live here now with no real linguistic or cultural inconvenience whatsoever, and have lots and lots of Japanese friends who I only ever speak Japanese with, and who really just treat and accept me as one of them rather than as someone strange or foreign. A lot has changed.

I think it's pretty ordinary for people here because we live so close to quite a big sea area. But for some people in other areas, they've literally never seen the ocean, and it's kind of a big deal. :'D
