I'm taking a break from reading, but my boyfriend's snuggled in bed and falling asleep. In fact, he'll probably be asleep by the time I finish writing this. Have to go back to work tomorrow though so even though I'm sleepy I am staying up just because I can. And also because I have a little bit too much on my mind to be able to avoid my frequent pre-sleep melancholy.

I should really get the computer so I can post a long winded sigh of nonsense that no one would even care about, but I'm comfy if a little lonely feeling.

And I agree, that's definitely one of the dangers of Kickstarter, and one of the hardest things for me to decide on. I generally am intrigued by a lot of stuff here, but the price point for physical content is sometimes set too high, and I don't like putting out a lot of money just for digital goods. I'd rather have something unique out of the experience. (Veronica Mars, I went for a physical DVD and T-shirt).

One of the reasons I shy away from some of the games (even though some of them do legitimately interest me) is because of how easy it is for a games project to get sidelined and never end up happening. I'm still taking chances on the other stuff I've funded, but I feel like it's much less of a gamble. 'sides, I have enough games to play, I don't need to start having surprise games showing up at my door.

I need to slow down on the NES collecting. Thankfully I have a bit, mainly because it's a bit dry out there at the moment. I'm focusing on redecorating my place right now. Hopefully that'll keep me busy for a month or so.

You're definitely more of an "all around" gamer than I am. I can only focus on one or two systems at a time, otherwise I get overwhelmed. How are you liking your 3DS, anyway? I've noticed you've bought quite a few games for it lately.
I bookmarked it so I can take a look later. Definitely, if I'm going to be putting money toward a Kickstarter I like. I'm going to be sure I get something physical out of the deal. I'm in it for the collectibles.

That is true, and definitely can happen. Although all of the games I've been interested in (Shadowrun Returns, Organ Trail, Shadowgate, Pier Solar HD, etc.) have gone on to be successful legitimate projects. You just have to be choosy and pick one that has a lot of promise. As well as something solid to show. Be it previous works, a demo, or what have you.

You just focusing on furniture for your apartment? or are you looking for other types of decor too? Just letting you know that there's some truly awesome game-related posters/prints at Fangamer.

Yeah, I tend to have a bit of ADD when it comes to collecting/gaming in general. I tend to focus on my newest purchase until I receive my next purchase. It's not always exactly like that, but for the most part it is. Collecting-wise I usually tend to go in cycles. Eventually I'll come full-circle and start collecting more NES games again. Probably around tax return time.

I'm really happy with my 3DS. It already has quite a few really good games for it, from both 1st and 3rd party developers. Plus the fact that the sequel to Zelda: Link to the Past is coming exclusively to 3DS. Is probably as good an excuse as any to snag a 3DS.

Damn, I have to be at work in less than 7 hours. I better get to bed. Have a good night Drag, and you as well Milady.

Mostly just furniture, but I plan to grab some artwork and stuffs for the walls. I'll dig through Fangamer later and see if there's anything that interests me.

    I forgot about LTTP2. I might have to buy a 3DS now.

    Have a good night.

A Game of Thrones. Been wanting to something to read a little more mindlessly than the denser authors I'd been reading most recently, and dying to actually find a new book or series of books to actually buy and enjoy owning, rather than subsisting on eBooks alone. Was wandering around looking for something else in particular when I decided to give them a try. I have my complaints by I'm pleased over all, a little over half way through the first book and bought the second earlier.

It's not the sharing I mind, it's the typing. Though if I got around to it, it would probably be in a more private hangout~

Nothing too terrible, just the joys of being an adult and probably nothing anyone in Retro hasn't already heard. Trying to help take care of parents (one in particular) , my particular line of work, monies, etc.

I have my own complaints about the series, but they're all pretty small gripes in the long run. It's a great series, but it slows down a bit too much sometimes, and I had trouble following the POV across all the different characters. I got lost more than I care to admit. It's also one of those series that I'm glad I powered through all the books successively, rather than trying to cool down between novels.

Hoping to power through them myself, but working with overtime isn't exactly compatible wirh that hope. Still, I think I bought the first one last Saturday or Sunday, and I hit page 451 earlier. Ate through about 100 pages, but working the next two nights so it'll probably sit in my locker and I won't actually get a chance to read again until Sat night/Sun morning.

I don't even know what day it is anymore.

So apparently I've forgotten how awesome Hot Fuzz is.

I frequently have to figure out what day it is by trying to remember what day it was when I left work last, and counting days since then.

Probably sleepy enough to go to bed now, but I don't particularly want to. Running out of things to occupy myself with on the tablet though.

I have 9 days off work now.

    Today being the first day.

I slept like a boss, all the way up until 8:45AM.

Now to play video games, and not give a fuck!
