PS3 does not have backwards compatibility with the PS2 - the original 60 gig "fat" models do, but they can be hard to find since those early units were susceptible to the Yellow Light death. There are some PS2 games that have been emulated and can be downloaded through the PSN store, but the selection is limited.
PS1 is compatible with PS3 though - almost every game works.

As for PS4 requiring a fee to play online, so what? It's only $50, and it's PS+. You'll not only get to game online, but you'll still get tons of free games and huge discounts - it pays for itself in no time at all. It's not a rip job like XBL

Yes it did, it just didn't have WiFi - you needed an ethernet cable.

Well dang, I was hoping it would be pretty compatible with Ps2 games since my computer can't run a couple of the games I try to emulate on it; usually slow performance or just not pcsx2 compatible. That's a bit safe to hear though for the Ps4 online. I didn't plan to play it much online but if there's benefits...

If you would have taken 10 seconds like I just did, you would have seen that there are at least 20 auctions on Ebay currently that are 20gig backwards compatible systems. Some Mod please close this thread - it's pointless and it isn't even remotely about the PS4.

Also, My brother has this *brilliant* plan to do the shit retards do to artificially increase price, but for the Xbone.

I won't be buying any of them.
Maybe a PS3 sometime soon, but then I may just go back to being a PC nerd.

Yes, but it doesn't come with the PS4 equivalent of the Kinect (which they're charging $100 for or something). So you can't show us all your wang while playing (unless you shell out the cash...).

I still have one million PS3 games to finish but I'm torn between Wii-U and PS4. PS4 will have more games for me eventually, but there isn't much interesting on launch.
