It's my understanding that the game is getting a full release, akin to a retail release for the normal going price of the games nowadays as well as the FtP "give us your money" shenanigans. And yet, I still have no compulsion to shell out for an X-Box One.

I'll get an Xbone a year or two into the system's life, or more accurately after they price cut it once. None of their exclusives appeal to me anyway, and KI sure as hell isn't a system seller in my book. It'll essentially just be THE go to Call of Duty machine, pretty much like the 360 is now, because you and I know that CoD players will be the majority of Xbone purchasers, since they already own XBL and have friends/clans/etc all set.

I do like some of those features they are touting, and I don't think the unit as a whole is bad tech or anything, I just don't think most of it needs to be in a game system and it's clear their focus isn't really on the gamer. I also don't like the arrogant attitudes they are carrying around either - they've not been in the gaming industry long enough to act the way they do, and they didn't exactly set the current gen on fire either. Sure, they started out good with a year head start, but Sony has done a pretty admirable job of selling units and having far better exclusives just in the last 2 years alone, and they still have some heavy hitters coming out.

No - I went through the website and tried to sign up but never heard anything. When does it start? I'm not an MMO fan, but I am totally willing to give this game a chance, since it's been restructured.

No idea when it starts, the email doesn't say anything about that. I'll download it later today and see if it's running.

Assuming you got FFXIII, did you enter the code you get from registering the game online, during beta sign up? I'm guessing that increases the odds of getting in quite a bit.

XIII or XIII-2? I "had" both of them, but they are long since gone from my collection Let me know how the beat turns out, if it's even up. I'm planning on picking up the game as long as the monthly fee isn't too outrageous. Is it going to be on PS4 as well or is that just wishful thinking?
