I'm actually considering picking up at least basic lessons in Japanese (be they self-study or actual classes). The language is incredibly interesting. On the other hand, I frankly adore speaking English, and enjoy broadening my horizons in that language subset as well.

Oh well, choices choices. I'll think about it when I'm back home. Bloody jobs.
    Hi Eggman how you're doing?

I used to hate Japanese before I started watching anime.

Anyways if you decided to self study we can work together. I am forced to self study since there are no Japanese classes where I live.

You should try! It's lots of fun, and not nearly as hard as people say.

I have a strange and not entirely pleasant relationship with spoken English. I spent about seven or eight years of my life trying to be someone that I really wasn't, and language was a big part of that. So even now, I feel like when I speak English, I'm struggling under the weight of many taboos and pressures to be someone who I'm not, and in terms of speaking, I actually feel like Japanese is a more comfortable language for me than English despite my limited vocabulary. It feels more to me like I always imagined a native language should feel - a language that is safe, comfortable, and easy to express yourself in. And people frequently comment on how much more talkative and cheerful I am in Japanese. :'D

That being said, I still like reading and writing English, and would be happy to use it for translation work. But it has too much baggage for me when I speak it, and having realised how much more freely and happily I express myself in foreign languages, I don't think I really want to go back to living in a country where I have to speak mostly English everyday. I feel like I need to get away from my home country and my native language for five or six years. ._.

I have the exact same feeling you have about Japanese about English. (It's not my native language)

I think it's because our brain associates certain things together that might not seem very related to us. For instance, if you have a lot of bad memories when you were speaking English, your brain automatically associated English with bad. On the other hand you might not have bad memories associated with Japanese (you might even have good memories associated with it) so you feel better communicating in Japanese.

Me, I feel good speaking English, but not so much when speaking in my native language. It's because I have a lot of bad memories in my native language.

Another example: New years is usually a time of happiness for most people, but I always feel like shit during the time because I have had a lot of bad things happen to me in previous new years. So even if I don't conscientiously think about it, I still feel bad during the time.

I think I heard once that there aren't so many purebred Dingos in Oz these days either, with feral dosmestics having interbred with them and such.

Speaking of animals and Gypsy, my little cat is developing one of those little saggy bellies already.

It's from a magic card I own that makes my boyfriend mad. Switcheroo or something, it's called.

Kitty's not fat, though he's still kitten age-ish so he's a little roly poly. He just has that patch of loose skin and fur on his belly that makes him look like he needs a tummy tuck.

Oh, and I also have the conjured currency, but it's not in a deck. He's got a ton of green beasties with tons of health, so I keep a healthy amount of blue magics around.

The other two I'll have to look up.
