Well their crowdfunding project is failing hard, so the game will probably never see the light of day.

That's great to see. Kickstarter idiots aren't all *that stupid*. But still, nearly 5000 peeps are that stupid and have pledged a quarter million... God, if you read the Kickstarter comments they still want this garbage to succeed...

Umm. I also noticed in the comments that they've apparently been getting funding through that Paypal link on their page. That's not a pledge button, it's a give money button. And they're not including any extra monies in their subtotal showing how much they've been fucking given

When Gare smiles it means indifference, I thought we all knew that

I guess they're still focusing on the Wii U and PC for this?? I don't see many PC people lining up for this - I would wager a guess that almost everyone excited about this game is a Wii U supporter. I'm sure it isn't helping that the Wii U install base is a total joke, but I'd say it's probably safe to assume even if this game was coming out for PS3 and X360 that it wouldn't be doing any better. Dyack's name on this has really tainted the project, not to mention I've noticed that there are a lot of people commenting on the fact that the only hook in the original was the sanity gimmick, and that now it obviously wouldn't be as thrilling (which I believe I mentioned in an earlier post). Thank god some people have actually grown up

if they seriously need crowdfunding to help create this game, then it probably isn't going to happen. And if it happens, then it probably won't be good

Well it's free fucking money, devs see this. Christ, joke Kickstarters have gotten funded... Deservingness of funding has nothing to do with where monies are going.

    LOL

Explaining the move, Precursor Games CEO Paul Caporicci said the studio has received "a host of a new exciting opportunities that will make the game better than we envisioned."
That's my favorite part - more like the project completely fell apart when people realized Dyack was involved and all but the most ardent of supporters have jumped ship.

I know this thread is long dead, but I am making a new post since it's relevant to the OT and someone is bound to start a new thread.

Anyway, it looks like this clunker is back - a new kickstarter has been kickstarted, Dyack suck-suck ass is still involved, the pedophile is off the team, and the game is now 1 campaign instead of 8 episodes or whatever that crap was. They're asking for less money, and it's still only on Wii U and PC. This is material for sure - I would never support these hacks.

    I'm sorry but I just couldn't resist.

(Btw this applies to their game, not your post. )

I hear you man - I didn't even waste a fuck on their last attempt at this game. I hope this one dies as well - this game just flat out doesn't need to exist. There was a video interview with Dyack on Gamespot I think, and the gist of it was that he wants to make a better game than RE4.....

Uh, that game is only what, 8 years old or more? Methinks Dyack is still living in the past - easily explainable since he thought Too Human was cutting edge when it was released (and its control scheme was made for a single analog controller )

God how does anybody even consider pledging money to these guys.
Also, why didn't Dyack simply ask for the 300k they had pledged last time, so he could cash in and scamper away with the money? It'd be the smart thing to do, plus kickstarters usually pickup a lot of steam once they're funded, as they have some sort of tangible creditability then. He could probably screw a whole lot more people that way.

Edit: Wait. Is it a good idea to pledge a dollar so I could troll their comments? I could take the dollar away after having fun, right?

That's a great idea. Besides, if you're too lazy to cancel your bid, you'll get your dollar back when it fails anyway

EDIT: So basically no gaming websites are touching this game with a ten foot pole, but Gamespot is posting all sorts of interviews with Dyack and it's on their front page. What's really strange is that all of a sudden the drones over there love the game and must have forgotten about Dyacks track record. Someone even said screw Dyack, and he's hot tons of comments just flaming him. What the hell is going on...
