And probably also the one after that.
    Would be a good idea.

Or at least drop half the mechanics/design decisions from this TR, keep the graphics and the cool cover system, and actually build a game where you solve puzzles and raid tombs.

Uncharted was better than TR, but has very similar mechanics. Less exploration/open world, but a better story. At least, U2 was. I would consider U1 & 3 on par with TR in terms of overall gameplay.

Yeah, I feel like a fresh Tombraider for the current gen could be good, it will just take proper effort.

They should have just kept the U2 gameplay for U3. DONT FUCK WITH PERFECTION.

Yeah, I'll admit that I don't know much about Uncharted. I watched gameplay vids of the first one and thought it looked horrible. I hear peope praise the second one though.

Agreed. I was disappointed with 3. It felt off pretty much the entire way through. Also, my companions kept getting in my way, and once or twice they knocked me out of my cover. I was very upset.

Also, U2 had "bosses," where U3 was basically just one giant tunnel until you got to the final boss, who was so incredibly lame I actually said "are you fucking serious?" to the screen. U2 was awesome. U3 was good. And the quality difference between good and awesome is pretty big.

The gameplay is a bit shoddy in the first but it's still worth playing.

You know, Crystal Dynamics really should stop messing around with this TR business and just revive the Legacy of Kain/Soul Reaver franchise already.

Without screwing it up. Because that would break my heart.

The first one definitely wasn't horrible. I would put it as a pretty solid game that everyone who owns a PS3 should at least try. U2 is a must own for everyone, even if you don't own a PS3. It will enrich your life through osmosis alone. U3 had a decent multiplayer, but the single player took a step in the wrong direction and fell massively short of almost everyone's expectations, except for reviewers apparently.

Yeah U3 was very disappointing. If we get another big non-portable Uncharted title I hope they learned from their mistakes.

And yeah the final "boss" was so stupid. Shar commented on how disappointed he was just watching me play.

Don't worry, they'll screw it up.

Well come on now, the reviews are paid for.

It seems like games are drastically dropping in quality these days, it's like game companies have forgotten how to make a good game.
