We have quite a lot of them. They're not generally called American themed restaurants (they're called "family restaurants" here), but the food is largely of that sort. One of them is actually quite tasty (and open 24 hours, so my friends and I sometimes wind up going there at 3AM... :'D), but the rest are all crap in terms of actual food, and only worth going to for puddings.

And we don't have a Dennys here, but I've been in other places in Japan, and yeah, it's basically that sort of thing. Not exactly very exciting. :'D

Makes for lots of aww inducing stories.
Yeah, every moment with him is special. Parents who are around all the time are lucky in that they get to be there for every moment of their children growing up, but that also means that they have to see the worst of their children, and that their children sometimes have to see the worst of them. As a weekend dad, you can ensure that every moment with him is awesome.

Pretty much. Between all the little events and getting to do special things together, it's pretty much "guy time" every time he comes over. Plus, he's snuggly as shit, and cuddling on a recliner, eating popcorn and watching Disney movies is fucking awesome. I'll miss these days when they're gone.

I still can't believe that you're the same fifteen year old I met all those years ago. It's been amazing and so cute seeing you grow into such a great dad.

To be fair, we've both changed quite a bit in the last ten years.

Haha, yeah, I realised after writing my post that I don't think there's a single person here who has changed as much in the last ten years as I have. :'D

One of my Japanese friends here was telling me the other day about how I have to stay in Japan forever and change my nationality to Japanese so the Japanese government can never take me away from her. I guess since I've changed everything else already...

I feel like at this point no matter how much I changed, I'd still have all of your support. So much love~

From the looks of your FB, you've got a lot of love and support out there. I see no problems with her plan.

It's still 1030 on Saturday. I love her, but not that much.

Has anyone watched this Hemlock Grove show on Netflix? I'm intrigued by it, but not enough to open up Google and search for reviews, even though it would be faster than writing this sentence.

Haha, yeah, I've been very lucky here.

I don't know about ever taking Japanese citizenship, though. I know for sure that I want to live here for much longer than this year, and I don't have any particular emotional or patriotic attachment to my British citizenship (I'm pretty sure I'm done with living in Britain, actually), but being a citizen of an EU country is so useful in terms of being able to move and work freely within Western Europe that I think it would take a lot to convince me to give it up. :'D Maybe if I were here for... like... seven years and still had no intention of going back to Europe.
