Part of it is figuring out how the world relates to itself. Revisiting areas, figuring out the tactics to defeat some of the bigger enemies, upgrading armour/weapons, etc. The biggest difference I've found so far when revisiting some of these areas has been upgrading my Knight Shield from +1 to +4 so I can actually block some of the larger attacks, like the Hydra's melee attack.

What I learned in Dark Souls is that upgrading your equipment is far more useful than level ups, generally speaking.

    That sounds heavenly.

That's what I'm starting to notice. I might grind for a couple of hours while watching a movie and upgrade a shitload of my equipment. It seems to be making a huge improvement. Especially now that I have a Dragon Scale and can upgrade my Drake Sword at least once.

I ran a +5 Lightning Claymore back in the Dark Soul days; was good times.

I'm still using the Drake Sword I got about ten gameplay hours ago. Haven't run across anything worth switching to yet.

I recall raping faces in PvP with a +15 Balder Side Sword.

Isn't the Drake Sword that "semi cheat code" sword that you get by doing some arbitrary stuff you'd have to look up in a guide? It's powerful early on for a reason. But from what I hear it's not so cool in the long run. I dunno though, I never got it. I personally went with Quelag's Furysword +5 and the above mentioned BSS for endgame.

Yeah, the sword isn't exactly "on the path", but all you need to do is shoot the dragon's tail that is hanging over the bridge with an arrow. It takes a few tries, but that's all there is to it. It's good early on, but becomes useless later - it's not a very malleable sword, so the stats that come equipped aren't going to get much better.

Kind of, yes. It's been awesome at the beginning of the game, but I think I'm at the point where its starting to get less and less useful. I'm going to have to switch over to something else soon, I think.

Wasn't that difficult. Took about 30 arrows once you find the spot to stand in underneath the bridge.

It's not all that great. Body hair gets caught in leather harnesses, have to stay a little bit chubby, never really feel attractive no matter what all the little flamers and queens say.

I'd avoid it if you can, hun.
