That's such bad advice for someone new to jobs and such.
I've actually learned a lot from helping run the store my family owns and a lot times if they give you a two weeks firing notice, they're being nice to you.
If you were shit at your job she's well within her rights to fire you right there, and it isn't hard to hire someone to fill that spot or give someone else who doesn't suck at their job more time on the clock. Personally, we have a massive stack of applications for when we need them.
But anyway, if she's giving you two weeks notice, she's likely being nice and letting you work (again, even though you suck at your job) and will probably still give you a decent review if she gets called when your next employer is checking your job history.
