    I hate you EA/Origin/SimCity servers!

    Serious frustration.....

Sorry to hear your auction fell through Drag. I hope that guy was insured, unless of course he started the fire himself

Simcity is the perfect example of why always-online DRM is fucking stupid. I don't think there are any examples of it where it hasn't been botched completely, at least during launch.

You're right, and this is actually worse than Diablo 3. D3 was only crappy for about a day - SimCity is going on 4 days now, and has NO signs of improving. I've logged 4 hours in it since Tuesday, and the funny thing is Tuesday is the only day I could get on. Seeing as how it's usually the first 24 hours that are crunked, I had no problems then. Haven't been on since though..... pretty frustrating.

How's that Tomb Raider game? Did you try it yet?

Not yet. I just bought it about four hours ago, then I finished watching a hockey game when I got home. Now I'm finishing an episode of Torchwood, then I'm going to grab a coffee, then start playing.

It looks gorgeous, though. I got the initial update installed and it's been playing through the title screen intro on loop for about fifteen minutes now. Definitely looking forward to it.

I almost picked it up, but I didn't want to spend full price on it. Besides, I totally forgot God of War comes out next Tuesday, so I'm probably better off using my money for that.

I used my 10% discount, some gas coupons I had saved up, plus $30 in loyalty points to pick it up for about $13.50.

God of War looks amazing, but I've never been a big enough God of War fan to bother picking up one of the games on Day 1. I find they tend to drop in price quick enough, and I'll probably grab it for about $30 by the end of summer. I'm much more interested in Bioshock Infinite at the end of the month. After that, I think it's just The Last of Us coming out this year that really has me interested, then nothing until the fall. Although I'm sure I'm forgetting a bunch of games right now.

Oh hey, look at that. There's another Hyperdimension Neptunia game coming out this month.

Yeah, PS3 has a lot of nice titles coming out this year. I keep forgetting about Bioshock, I'll have to grab that for sure, and of course Last of Us. As for those Neptunia games, I've not played one and don't plan on starting now I hear mixed things anyway. Besides, I still have a backlog that should be played, but that probably won't happen anytime soon.

Yeah, they're definitely not games for everyone. I enjoyed it for what it was, but it's not a series that I'm going to jump back into any time soon. It was fun as a novelty, break-out-of-my-comfort-zone kind of game, though.

Of games coming out this season, there are three that I want to pick up: Bioshock Infinite (which looks awesome), Remember Me (which looks very interesting), and The Last of Us (which looks great, but I'm still undecided on what to expect out of it at the moment). Then I'll start grabbing some of the other stuff that came out that interested me, but I didn't want to get Day 1, like DmC, Sly 4 and God of War.

Now, off to get a coffee, then start playing Tomb Raider.

Have fun, hope it's a good game. I'll be sitting here twiddling my thumbs waiting on this server countdown. If I don't get in in the next 15 minutes I'm going to watch a movie.

Don't get DmC until it's like $10.... especially if you're a fan of old ones. It's slow, and has a shitty story. It's a good "Ninja Theory" game, but it's not a good DMC game by any stretch.

Just got home from the hospital. The wife has a UTI.

    Apparently those hurt.

    G'night.

I've never played any of the old Devil May Cry games, therefore I'm not overly concerned how it compares with the rest of the series. I figured I'd pick it up when it's around the $20-$25 range.

Enjoy your movie. I know you won't be getting onto Simcity tonight.

I'm going to go play my game now.

That I bought five hours ago.

    And works perfectly.

    Spoiler warning:
Now that I've said that, I'm sure my system is going to crash or something and eat my game with it
