Finishing up my Custom Thumbnail for the next OoT episode, it uploaded 5 hours ago while I was at work. Now working on the NEW let's play.![]()
Buying a new drill bit tommorow cause my last broke. Drilling through holes for PCBs is difficult because the tiny bit wants to bend. Might buy two or three this time.
Whelp, something tells me these Dragon Warrior games aren't coming. The guy probably got mad at how cheap they went for and decided not to actually ship them and just take the negative feedback.
I'll give it until Tuesday, and if they aren't here by then I'm filing a complaint or whatever they're called.
Kind of, yeah. I already own all four games, but including this auction I would have owned all four of them complete in box (maps and manuals and everything) minus Dragon Warrior II, which would be missing the box. So I bought a complete DWII in great shape, which has since arrived, but now I don't have DWIII's box (which was in the lot). I'm also missing the maps for DWIII & IV, which I would have gotten from this lot -- my DWIV only has the box and manual.
So I have all the games, but I was mix-and-matching a bunch of purchases to get them CIB as cheap as I could. I was going to resell/trade the extras to help fund it.
Ahhh, gotcha. I'm sure it can be pretty hard to get "complete" DW games. I actually still have my old DW1 with a beat ass box, map and the handbook (came with my Nintendo Power subscription). On an unrelated note, I know if you try collecting Working Designs games they are a true pain to find complete.
DW games aren't extremely hard to find complete (there're usually around 10 listings on eBay at any given time), the trouble is finding them complete, in good shape, and not ridiculously expensive. There are two CIB DW3s on eBay right now that I have access to (not everyone ships to Canada) and each of them is sitting around $150 BIN. I'm waiting on a decent auction to come up, and I should be able to snag one for ~$110. Then I just have to find the maps for DWIV and I'm set.
With each additional game in the DW series, they get more expensive. DW1 is very common and cheap, DW2... less common, but not ridiculously expensive (routinely around $70-$80 CIB). DW3 goes for around $140-$160 (Buy It Now prices, anyways, everything goes for less during auction), and DW4 CIB goes for around $160-$180.
How many NES games do you have? I've seen a bunch of your purchases and I could swear you must be closing in on a full set by now![]()

I'm surprised you don't have more, haha. You seem to be going for boxed collections though. Are you going to try and get some of the super rares like Flintstones Surprise at Dino Peak, Little Samson or the ridiculous Stadium Events?
I would have more if I didn't have such a hard-on for the boxes. If I would be content with a cart-only collection, I'd probably have over 400 by now. I plan on getting all of them, but I won't be as picky about getting boxed copies for those extremely rare ones. Especially not Stadium Events. That game has gotten so much media coverage for how rare it is that it's price has just exploded over the last couple of years. That one will definitely be a cart-only purchase for me.
I think the most expensive complete game I'm really comfortable buying was Bubble Bobble Part 2. I spent a lot of money on that game, and I'd be uncomfortable doing that again unless I happened to fall into some decent cash.
