I am building an 8-bit computer based on the 8085 microcontroller and this is what I have so far. Today I etched the LED display.

My goal is to wire up either a SID (C64) or yamaha synth chip (Genesis) an control them via some simple music tracker. First I have to get the thing running though...and then software...and then everything else

Etching the board took me only an hour. Preparing for it took another hour and soldering took maybe 7.
The research that I have been doing has taken up every other hour in the day. EVERY HOUR!

Maybe tomorrow I will etch a new power supply. All of the chips run on a wonderfully easy +5v, but my current power supply is a little sketchy, plus it could accept a wall wart PSU!
You can see my power supply in the last picture (the brown board connected to the 9volt batteries.)
Then one thing that I need to conserve is that fact that I can simply pull up the PSU and move it to any place else on the board since it has legs on the bottom.
