Default Having some troubles (I'm new here) PCSX2

Hello everyone! I'm having some really bad troubles when trying to play "Persona 4" over PCSX2.
(I'm really new at emulation) and when I scroll through the fourms, it seems everybody knows what they are talking about--and i'm just trying to figure things out myself.
It's increasingly frustrating, but if somebody could be kind enough to lend a hand.

I had saw somebody post files in another thread
    http://www.epforums.org/showthread.php?81347

for Persona 4, and I downloaded all the files in order and then extracted the first file.

After that I had ran PCSX2 but it could not find any of the files to start the game with.
I browsed to the folder and went through it, but also to no avail. PCSX2 does not pick it up.

Please expereinced users from the site, look down upon my newbyness with mercy!
And teach me what I did wrong.
Even if I made over 84,000 errors into this.

Ok, no problem! We can help here, first let's configure your emulator before you worry about games.
Have you had success configuring the PCSX2 to boot screen?
If not, in the picture it looks like you have no BIOS, which you WILL need in order to load up this emulator.
No biggie just google PCSX2 BIOS and download it. Then stick that BIOS file in the BIOS folder located within the PCSX2 folder.

( Hope your still with me )

Once you've completed that, enter setup and your configuration should be default, if not let me know and we can get that squared away if you need help.

Next is the game, your download is in "Parts" which is definite in most cases, not a big deal.
First you'll need to "extract" again but this time you'll need to locate the .00 or part .01 file ( which ever is first. EX. .part00, .part01, .part02 ) and right click>"extract here"

You will be left with the final file, you can tell because of it's size, this is the file PCSX2 will recognize.

If you have any questions please let me know

Do you have the bios? They should show up in the list, make sure it's in the right folder. On installataion PCSX2 likes to put it by default in my documents well anyhow you can see the filepath on your screenshot so make sure the bios is there.

If you need it's in this list (if you have trouble finding it as it's out of order it's the first "P" one going alphebetically)
    http://www.emuparadise.me/biosfiles/bios.html#
Then you can select it and then go through the rest of the first time setup.

And your sure it's completely extracted, I noticed the part files there, is it in that first folder?

Take a closer look there Zaladane, it almost looks as if the ".part01" is in folder form and the other parts are just listed as "compressed files"
The icons don't look familiar, almost as if an archive program is not present?

If you selected it in the cdvd option (make sure iso is selected and then iso selctor - browse to select the actual iso) then all you have to do is goto system and boot cdvd (fast)

Also if you want a screenshot of a certain window without opening paint and crossing out things which it looks as though you've done you can press alt-printscreen to take a shot of just the currently selected window.

Make sure your plugins are all selected and configured - config-plugin/bios selector and you should have a plugin listed in each box, the default for everything should be fine to start. Make sure that the cdvd plugin (configure) is set to no disc and that the sound is configured as it looks like it failed after loading the spu2

And you did extract everything properly and have an actual .iso right?

Indeed, out of curiosity... Zaladane and I have looked over the pictures in the first post and were stumped by the game contents. Can you take a picture of what is in the .part01.zip folder and post it here?

The game files are divided into parts which is definite in most cases.
This means they need to be extracted, so when doing this with similar games you may encounter this, you'll need to locate the very first file, it will either be .00 or .01, and you need the extract that file only, as it will automatically extract the rest into one bigger and final file. This being the .iso ( or game file ) It may not always be a .iso, many games use this method like gamecube,ps1,ps2 ,ect.

    ^^^^^ The above should help.
I just did the default options it had given me.
I adjusted the sound to a lower quality. And I hit the CDVD to No Disc and started as well.
    Nothing happened D=

Do you want me to re-extract the ISO file? (I have a copy of all of the parts of the compressed.)

    First Picture: Settings
Second Picture: ISO file in Bios.

Edit: Going back and adding info.
    (Hold on )

    Edit Edit:
    (Replying to the post above)

Alright, I opened up the part 1 of the games folders using an ISO viewer (Cyber Link)
    This is what I got.

Good you extracted correctly and got the 4GB game file.

So from here, again under "CDVD" make sure iso has a blue dot beside it to ensure it's selected, next again under "CDVD" goto "iso selector", navigate to your game and click open.

From this point, under " system " select boot CDVD fast.

EDIT: What I do, you don't have to if you don't want to buuuuut, I like to create a folder called "games" and place it in the PCSX2 root folder, so it's easier to navigate to and it's not all cluddery that way with all those BIOS files
