I think I'm going to like this game.

I view it like the first season of Buffy. Silly and pandering towards the male population at times, but an otherwise pretty solid and interesting story that made me genuinely laugh on more than one occasion.

Basically, don't go in expect the world and you'll probably enjoy it.

So, going to try and starting a Gaming/MTG/Hangout Lounge in my hometown. We used to have something like that, but it was too laid back for everyone. So hopefully this idea goes over pretty well.

I've thought about starting up a Retro Game Club or something in my hometown, but I know it'll just be me and a few sweaty neckbeards who show up and will argue over semantic shit, like whether a full NES collection includes just licensed titles.

Then I sit back and drink alone and ponder my existence while fondling my games.

We used to have a place in town called the Splathouse you could play in. It was awesome, there was like on old car frame in one of the rooms for cover, it was basically lit with black light, etc. You could go on the weekends just to play with whoever showed up, or you could rent the place out.

It's been a few years but I used to be pretty awesome at capture the flag in that place.

Yeah, my first impression was Buffy meets Bayonetta and Zombies Ate My Neighbours. Very campy but it doesn't try to hide the fact and it's really too deliberate and silly about it to be offensive. The gameplay is fun, the controls don't seem anywhere near as bad as some people make out and, as mentioned before, I'm really digging the soundtrack. Definitely not gong to argue for how little it cost.
