The only conversations that ever take place in my apartment are between me and a 4 year old, or me listening to podcasts/panel shows.

It's either incredibly isolating, or nice and relaxing, depending what I was doing right before I came home.

A four-year old as a bellboy? I'd like to see that. By the way, Drag. How is your son? Is he starting school soon?

He likes to open the door and turn on the lights for me when I have to use the bathroom.

It's like my own personal manservant.

I have to get by with 2 dogs and a cat.
The dogs are ok, well trained and if I drop any food/drink they clean up quite thoroughly.
The cat is pretty nuts (I mean a little more than cats usually are), always tearing around, climbing anything and everything.
It's like she's on amphetamines. And she doesn't seem to be scared of anything...spraying water at her has little or no effect.
I have to warn visitors about her, which is funny because it's the dogs that I always get questions about (are they biters).
My own fault for adopting a feral I guess.

The elderly one is a whippet/black labrador cross...she's pretty much all black.

The young one is a koolie (aka coolie)...she's blue merle and has bi-coloured eyes.
