Oh well, regardless, that's what makes it fun, I suppose

Just finished rearranging my games in preparation of a bunch of games arriving this week. I am pretty much officially out of space now.

They have some pretty thick rental stickers on the boxes -- similar to those magnetic anti-theft devices you find in CDs/DVDs, if that makes any sense.

Thankfully they're all fairly common titles, so I'm going to research the best way (vegetable oil actually sounds like a good idea) then take a stab at it. I'll probably just start with the worst conditioned boxes and work my way up.
A few good games in that lot. Yeah, I know what stickers you're talking about. Those can be a bitch to get off. Especially without leaving a bunch of residue.

It'll be good to get some practice on some of the lower cost boxes. Then you can potentially save a bunch of money by going for rare games that have stickers. Then cleaning them up. Saved a decent amount on both MUSHA and Bomberman 2 that way. Just make sure not to use any veg oil on any spots where the ink might be cracking or is worn out. It may seep into the paper and cause permanent discoloration.

Sounds right. I have a few boxes that are in fairly rough shape that I plan on using as cleaning fodder while I work on techniques. I've fine for getting marker and residue off cartridges, but I've never actually tackled cleaning a box before. I'm always worried that I'll fuck it up and ruin the box.

Okay, time to go shopping for dinner and find something to play. Apparently Dallas and I are going to be playing Super Mario Sunshine this evening. Or maybe Mario Party 4 again. I have yet to decide which way I'm going to manipulate his desires.

(Also, my super secret game should be here tomorrow. SO EXCITED )

Come to think of it, those are my gaming habits no matter what day it is, as long as I don't have Dallas.

Go to work. Come home. Eat something that might constitute a meal. Play games for 6-8 hours. Fall asleep. Repeat.
