I've been to Osaka a couple of times. My brother lives there, so I actually touched down there and crashed at his place for my first few days here this time around. Cool city.
Sweet I may give it a try... Japan and Vietnam are the only two countries in the region I've yet to cross off my list. Hong Kong still tops it for me, wish I'd have moved there instead of Singapore! Maybe for my next job...

Thanks, I think I'll need it.

Well, you can just ace the test and feel all good about yourself. THERE'S THAT, I GUESS.

Dungeon Siege III, Realms of Ancient War, Dungeon Hunter.. Not sure if the latter is on the box.

Going to Hong Kong next year, actually. I have a friend there I can crash with for free, and it seems super-cool.

How's life in Singapore? Do you speak any of the million official languages they have besides English? Or does everyone speak English anyway?

It hardly snows here so I was surprised when I looked out. Especially since they say it's only 5 degrees out right now. Raining now though.

And I would switch in a heartbeat. Don't like the cold.

Although everyone speaks English here it has a bit of a local twist called Singlish which is based on terrible grammar and short to the point sentences. I can speak that perfectly fine but it's difficult to pick up the other languages as no one will ever use them with a white guy. I'm getting quite fluent with Tagalog and know a small amount of Malay but I'll be honest, I haven't tried that hard.

By the way, I know it's a little touristy but when you go to HK you need to take the cable car up to Victoria Peak, at night I would suggest. It's absolutely immense. If you ever come to Singapore I got a sofa you could stay on. Or my bed if you like, but don't tell the government as that kind of thing is illegal.

Oh, I know Singlish. It uses lots of Chinese bits and bobs like "le" and "la" too, doesn't it?

Well it's not really a necessity like here, where hardly anyone speaks English. If you live somewhere where people speak English (or at least a creole), there isn't much need to learn local languages unless you're a language dork like me. Cool that you've picked up Tagalog, though!

Cool, I'll bookmark it! And thanks. I'd offer you the same here in Japan, but I'm in student dorms, and having visitors would probably cost me my place at the uni here. :'D If you need a Japanese to English translator, though, I can always lend a hand with that!

Yeah it's all can or cannot. After a couple of years here I've almost got it 100% perfect but I only use it with cab drivers.it also works in Malaysia too

Since being in Singapore the only two words of Japanese I have picked up are Asahi and Sapporo...
