For what it's worth I found Oblivion akin to watching paint dry but thoroughly enjoyed Skyrim from start to finish. It was tied with Deus Ex for my favourite game of last year.
It'll probably be games within the 10-20 bucks range which quite a few of those are I think. I'll probably end up getting 1 from separate genres depending on how much cash I have left over I'd like to have 3 or 4 games. I was thinking that Jak&Daxter collection for platforming. Probably Dragonage for an RPG and maybe a call of duty game for an FPS.
The gold pack for RE5 is only 20 bucks so may grab that and Infamous is only 10 now but as interesting as it seems it sounds way to short. Didn't like Demon Souls that much so I doubt I'd get Darksouls. Rainbow moon is a definite possibly though. Already done Uncharted 2 so maybe 3? Dunno.
I didn't really like Arkham Asylum when I had it on the 360 - when I first started it I thought it was awesome but go so bored really fast with it. Possibly Ratchet and Clank, I like platformers quite a bit and never really played any of them. Think I rented one once, but I'd like to stay away from too many collections and focus more on this generation. I'd like to give one of these Spiderman games a try, been awhile since I've played one. In the end I'm looking towards as lengthy as possible.

Hey Zaladane, be careful with that RE5 Gold Edition! I'm not sure how it's packaged for the PS3, but I bought it used for Xbox360 for about $30 (and at the time a used RE5 original was $15 or so) thinking it was a great deal.
Well, all the "extra" DLC stuff was actually only a code that came with the game, which had already been used. I paid an extra $15 for NOTHING, and then had to buy all the DLC at full price in the end.
Just a warning!
If you like Jak & Daxter you'll almost certainly like Ratchet & Clank. Very similar style games.
You could probably pick up DA:O Ultimate Edition for around $20-$25 and get the Awakening expansion and all the DLC with it. If you enjoy that style of RPG, you'll get a lot of hours out of it.
inFamous is great fun, but it is incredibly short. Same with Uncharted 3. I enjoyed Arkham Asylum, but haven't played Arkham City yet. A lot of those games are definitely short, but you can pick 'em up for around $20 and get a decent amount of gameplay out of them. Then again, this is from me going through anding them, so playing through multiple times on the hardest difficulty kind of skews the amount of time I spend on them.
There are a bunch of great games, but it really does depend on what genres you actually enjoy playing. If you get that bundle with PS+ you were talking about the other day you'll get a ton of games to try out over the course of the year, which is nice. The only shitty thing is they disappear if you don't renew.
I had World at war on 360 and it was pretty good. Spent a lot of time with a buddy doing splitscreen with the zombie thing. Always wanted to get Dragonage but never got around to it.
Getting a PS3 again, pretty settled on that I think. The bundles seem to be cheaper now even vs the 360 and won't have to spend extra to get a play and charge pack for the 360 which always pissed me off.
Shit, yeah I would definitely make sure about that then.
I would probably end up doing platinum thing so that would grant me some extra hours!!! I backed up all my stuff from last time so at least I'll have one lonely plat to start off with
I'm a Baldurs gate nut so I'm sure I'll enjoy Dragonage. Infamous comes bundled with some systems now so who knows, I may find it for only like 5 bucks when the time comes then I'd have no excuse not to get it.
Aaaaaaaaand bed.
A general rule of thumb that I follow is to never buy anything used that comes with redeemable codes inside, unless I don't care about those items.
