343i, stop experimenting with the Halo 4 multiplayer. Just freaking keep the same playlists in, stop this stupid rotation. You take out team snipers, replace it with FFA throwback (a complete failure) and now replace that with team regicide, which is even worse. I pity the day when team swat's numbers dip to below satisfactory levels as that is supposed to be one of the rotating playlists as well, but due to its success, it has been in for 3 straight weeks. Put in what people are asking for, a grifball playlist, a big team battle objective playist, team doubles, and bring back team snipers for the love of God.

    Deja Vu.
Which I hate. For me its always a dream that i quickly forget but reoccurs IRL at a much later date. In this case, I remember writing this same paper about robots, but I also remember it did not end well when I spoke to my professor....so...
    I could just be crazy.

Earlier today I ended up breaking the headphone jack on my NeoGeo consolized MVS. I accidentally stepped on the cord that was plugged into it and snapped one of the pins on the jack. I'm trying to desolder it so I can replace it. I desoldered the red and white wires from it(left and right channel respectively). Now there's also a green wire soldered onto the back of the jack, which I'm guessing is ground? Jazz, you have more experience with things of this nature. Can you tell me if the green wire in these pics is the ground.

    Spoiler warning:

I would assume it is Ground simply because of the red and white, but that is not always true. What you should do (since I can't see where the wire lead to inside) is look in the jack an d note where the pin is. Would Green be contacting ground here:

Accidentally connecting left or right to ground (if we happen to be incorrect) is not going to hurt anything, it will just not work. You'll know 100% when you connect it up.

Yeah, it does look like it is ground. The green wire is soldered to part of the metal housing that comes down and makes contact with the section you have marked "ground" in your diagram above. I didn't see it until I looked real close at the inside of the jack. It's not a real big deal that I get this repaired. Seeing as it also has L/R RCAs on the back. I just feel bad that even part of it is broke and I want to see it back in tip-top shape.

Same goes for my Genesis v1. Never used the headphone jack and never will. Doesn't mean I want it gone though.

It's fixed now! I just pulled an old 3.5mm jack from an old sound card of mine. I had to mount it on the under-side of the board, but it made it easier to connect ground. Which was the green wire. All I had to do was remember to switch around white and red when resoldering it. Works awesome with the volume slider and everything.

Now I can sleep soundly knowing that my NeoGeo MVS is fully functioning again.

Damn, that sounds really good right now. Carl's Jr. is one of the few fast food places I'll still go to.
