Does anyone here know if there are any other models of PS3 that can play ps2 games? I've been told there are but the only one I know of that does it is the 60GB model.

PAL versions? I think only the 60 and the 20GB models, but the latter has no built in wi-fi.

Unless you can find a deal on one though you're better off keeping a PS2. Of course it could be completely different in England but yeah the BC models are more here.

yeah had a look there and didn't find the model my workmate was on about. I think he must have been on about the 80gb NTSC model.

The 60gb model was what I was going to go for so I could play all my PS2 games as well

Honestly if you've got the space I'd just get separate consoles. You'll pay through the nose for a backwards compatible PS3 whereas you can pick up a 40GB and a PS2 for £100 or so.

Thing is that I've got the space now. I suppose it was for convenience. Its just laziness if I can't be bothered to hook up another console

I prefer playing PS2 games on standard def. You could always get a switch box thingy. I have a couple, very convenient.

I'd have to get a decent one I think. Those cheap ones are trash (you can see whatevers on the other side as a sort of after image.

Stark has inspired me to look up PS3 bundles. I must say they're better equipped in terms of games and accesories not to mention some prices over the 360. And I'll be going on Boxing day so even cheaper!!!

    Can't wait for Christmas

my PS3. I can't wait until January 17th, though, when I get my vacation payout. Then I'll be a happy camper and go on an NES game purchasing spree.
