I prefer to just get the turkey breast and put it in the crock pot all day, but this time we went for the whole thing.

I've never tried it in the crock pot, but that's what I'm doing now. Just gave it a couple minutes on the stove top to brown the skin and dropped it in. Just barely fits, actually had to trim off a little bit of the cartilage at the end of the sternum for the lid to close all the way.

I'd be happy to make a traditional oven turkey if I had a proper kitchen.

Went to Meijer earlier to get some fixins for the turkey dinner. We left a full cart of groceries at the front of the store and left, because there were hundreds of people trying to check out of 4 open lanes.

Will be going back in a bit. Should be a bit quieter.

It's always fun locating the full cart, and seeing perishables that have been sitting for 6 hours.
