42 cart only (8 with manuals)


I've also been buying Gamecube games lately, although I still only have a handful of them, and my physical PS3 library will hit 50 games next time I go out and buy something. Every other console is negligible, with only a handful of games for each one.

I'm liking the ratio of CIB:Cart-only. Still, if your want lists are up to date. I can definitely increase your number of cart-only games. Also it's cool you've been buying up some GC games. I used to have a pretty decent sized GC collection back in the day. There's some really good games for it.

Depends how much I spend and just how "poor" of condition it's in. I have a general rule that $20 is "take a chance" money. If I buy something for $20 and it's in good but not great condition, I'll usually just leave it alone and not buy from that seller again. If I bought something for $50 that said it was in great condition but really it was in good condition, I would probably leave negative/neutral feedback stating my issue. Anything more than that I really, really try to avoid buying with stock photos.

For me it depends on what the price is compared to readily available copies (the anime I was bitching about the other day for instance has tons of cheap copies available, so even though it was cheap I am filing an amazon claim). I'm willing to buy things in less than collectible condition if I'm getting a good deal. For instance the copy of Tales of Destiny that I had (before trading it) had a cut front insert and some glue on the disc ( that I ended up removing) which I bought because I got it for half the going rate of a good condition one.

Grabbed it from LukieGames. They're doing a "Pre Black Friday" sale right now, so I dug through their stuff to see if there was anything that interested me. Some decent prices on stuff there, but DWIV was the only one that jumped out at me as a "must buy at that price." Their prices can be expensive at times, but they're one of the few places that does free shipping to Canada over X amount, so I keep them on my list anyways.

And that picture is gorgeous, FYI. I don't have any recent pics of my collection -- it hasn't really grown that much over the last few months. I've maybe acquired ten games lately, none of them cartridge based. I did just get in three CIBs games, though, and the one side is officially out of room to display boxed games. I'll take a pic later and show it off.

The silly thing about that is shipping to Canada really isn't that different from US shipping unless you go priority.

Still, I love seeing pics of other people's collections.

Man, you might have pissed yourself if you saw this Craigslist ad...posted (and SOLD) late last night, was a pile of "$2 commons", like Mario 3 and Excitebike, but there were a LOT of 'em, 20+, and the lot went for $15.

Now, now, Nem...lets not spoil the 'spirit of the season' with teabagging, tsk tsk tsk. Having trouble deciding what to give this year...its either going to be 40 pounds of various candies, a few PSPs, and a Street Fighter II arcade machine, OR an envelope of cig ashes...havent decided yet.

Might have been more prominent back in the day/back East. I do know that some chains do localized menus, and if you were in/around Montreal, I could definitely see poutine being one of them. I live way, way out west, where it's not really as big of a thing.

There. Just went through and updated. If it's on the want list, I'm interested. I also updated my trade list with a few things. Nothing exciting, I think I put Wizards & Warriors, Captain Skyhawk, and a boxed copy of The Chessmaster on it. Lemme know what you have that's not on my list, and we shall do a trade. Including that Zapper instruction manual I have sitting here.

Pretty much my same theory. If I'm getting an amazing deal on something, I pretty much know that there's something wrong with it. Anything that I'm buying at half FMV I go into thinking that it's acceptable, and if it comes out better than that than I'm happy.
