I would guess since he's actually a screenwriter who just happened to write this book, and he gets to do his own script for the movie, I'd say it's in good hands. Let's just hope they get the right director - they need someone that's great with visuals, and not Michael Fucking Bay.

Yeah when I saw he was a screenwriter that put faith in the movie for me. But it will be a very difficult movie to make, especially finding a guy for Wade.

I'm wondering if they will break it up into 2 parts.... there's enough material in the book to warrant a solid 2 part movie. The whole OASIS will be interesting to see how they pull off. If i had to choose a director I think someone like Zach Snyder (300, Watchmen, Sucker Punch) or even the Wachiowskis (Matrix) could pull it off. Although after this Cloud Atlas fiasco I doubt Warner Bros will see fit to let the Wachioskis direct another big budget flick.

I want to see how they handle Wade's difference from beginning of the book and at the end. I can't see using 2 different actors as a viable option, it would be stupid.
