Just finished Dead Space 2 on Normal.

I actually enjoyed the story a bit more in this one once it picked up. However, there was not a single boss battle the entire way through -- once you get to Chapter 8 or so, it becomes a lot more narrative driven. Which I kind of liked, honestly. It felt like a true sequel to the first game -- now that they know what the enemies are and where they come from, they decided to spend this game exploring what happened to Isaac after he escaped. It definitely carried a different vibe through the whole game.

I got most of the trophies during my first playthrough, so now I'll have to go through and play it on Zealot mode. Or perhaps try Hardcore mode first, then go for Zealot mode. Still trying to decide at the moment.

Doom 3 BFG edition, took just over 9 hours. Pretty big game, gets much better half-way through since it stops spawning soldiers and focuses more on the cool monsters. Plus by that stage you are mostly using Plama Rilfe + Rocket Launcher which are really fun weapons.

I started the expansion, Resurrection of Evil and so far so good. Only monsters! But I have 3 essays to complete so might not be able to dig into it.

Finished Cheogsh for Doom; big Lovecraft\Quake inspired map with really cool music. After you kill the last boss you get to walk back through all the dead and see the sky and sea become clear again, very impressive for a 1 man project.

I finished Max Payne 3 last night - I don't really know what I think about the game. It was incredibly short, only took 2 evenings of casual play, and by casual I mean about 2 1/2 hours each night. Most of the time was spent watching cutscenes anyway. It had a good story, and the play control was pretty tight (totally meant for mouse and keyboard though) and great graphics, but there wasn't enough gameplay and the game is so linear it almost makes Call of Duty look like Skyrim. I was also going to put it on the hardest difficulty and just run through it since it's so short, but you can't skip 90% of the cut-scenes, so that's a real bummer.

I'd say 6.5/10 - well put together, not worth $60 though. I said in an earlier post that this game is a Doctoral Thesis on style over substance - I stand by that.

Today I played through Separate Ways for RE4. That got me 100G 'S stands for Sylish' - Unlock all costumes, or some crap.
And then I played through Minerva's Den DLC for Bioshock 2 that I picked up while it was on sale. It was alright...

I just finished Super Ghouls and Ghosts. I'm actually in shock as to how much easier it was than I remembered. Yes, there are some really hard parts (namely those Red Devils) but I made it through without too much trouble. And yes, that is doing the second playthrough with the Goddess bracelet, which makes the game much harder if you ask me.... that sucker has NO range at all.

Naruto Ultimate Ninja Heroes for PSP

Going to start recording gameplay so I can get some ideas for my animation projects. Wish I could view the models of the game or something though

Finished Dragon Quest V (NDS). Stayed up late last night trying to beat it, then finished it today after work. Thank god, because now I can move on to some new stuff!

just finished Fire Emblem 6. It wasn't too hard, and it was quite fun (if you're a fan of tactical RPGs).

    Policenauts

Really good but it telegraphs every plot twist and secret. It feels intentional though, which is really weird, maybe some cultural thing? MGS is very different in that area.

    Zanac X Zanac

Zanac Neo done. The orignal Zanac isn't working on psxfin but I don't wanna get the hassle of getting my epsxe folder just for that.

Beat Zone of the Enders 1 about 20 minutes ago. Game is so short, it isn't even funny. It took me about 2 1/2 hours to go from start to finish today... that is ridiculous. I remembered it being short, but damn.
